Animal Assisted Therapy

Equine and canine assisted therapy is a burgeoning field of therapeutic intervention that assists clients in a multitude of ways, Horses and dogs are utilised within a therapeutic setting to help clients develop relational, interpersonal, reflective and communication skills.

Research into the fields of animal assisted therapy has shown positive results for clients who are dealing with a number of mental health and life issues including:

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Eating disorders

  • Parenting issues

  • Substance abuse and addictions

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Stress

  • Autism and Neurodiversity

  • ADHD

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Attachment issues

  • Low self-esteem

  • Negative behavioural issues.

We provide a comprehensive range of psychological services for infants, children and families with children aged 0-12.  We specialise in Autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, behavioural issues, sensory issues, and parenting.  We also support  expectant parents in their perinatal journey..

ThinkTalkDo currently provides therapy dog sessions in our Ballarat office and will be offering mobile canine therapy and equine assisted therapy from January 2023.
